Endocrinologist are the low hanging fruit for DME companies to approach for RPM business. Why? Diabetic supplies are reimbursable by Medicare and others however the glucose meter is only reimbursed each five years. By signing up the endo’s diabetic patients to the RPM program opens up a new profit center for the doctor and the DME supplier plus the patient can benefit from cellular connectivity, enabling them to seamlessly upload their test results. The DME company can supply the required services and equipment to the doctors patients that is needed for the doctor to qualify to bill Medicare for RPM. The doctor can bill for CPT Code 99454 for the technical and also 99457 for clinical. The technical portion of RPM includes the Smart Health Glucose Meter, And also our Cellular watch that has a gateway built in that can collect the glucose readings and other SunVision products then seamlessly transfer these vitals to the health cloud. The DR Watch will gather seven additional health vitals offering additional information about the patients life. If the doctor chooses to have all the work outsourced through the DME company their wont be any additional work load or out of pocket expense for the DME or the doctor if SunVision products and services are chosen. The equipment and services are rented to the DME at $60 per month from SunVision that includes the registered nurse, the equipment and the platform. The doctor is billed $80.00 per month from the DME company for the same services and the doctor will be reimbursed approximately $110.00 from Medicare.
